Asking for my sister:
She and her partner just 2 days ago lost their home due to a natural disaster cause by lightning. Lightning struck their home causing it to burn down along with 2 family pets.
Luckily, no one was home. My sister was at the hospital at that moment awaiting for her first grandson to be born. Currently the family has nothing but clothes behind their backs.
Please help rebuild this couple's home so in the future their grandkids can have a place to come to.

I am hoping for help. I single mom of 3 kids 8;9;10 – my husband passed away Feb 28, 2018 from a heart attack. I found him dead. My children are going through out with this. We have a home that needs some work done on it to make it last and healthy for us.
I have MS. I'm trying my best to keep it all together for my kids. We really could use some help!!
Huge shout out to Ty and the team at Extreme Makover!
Because of you so many families get a change to change everything and what you have already done for children, families and communities is nothing short of miracles.
I am hoping "not so secretly" that you could sprinkles some love my family's way but even if its not i cant wait to continue watching the blessings poured on all those you come in contact with.
I am a blended family and between the two of us we have 7 children. I had my first child at 17 and dropped out of school. I went back and finished high school as a single teenage mom after attempting to graduate via correspondance. Before meeting my husband i graduated from college and secured a position as a registered massage therapist. After my second explosive relationship and my husbands explosive divorce we battled through so many difficulties before we were finally feeling settled and then our house we rented burnt down. We had nothing and spent 5 monthes living in a trailer with 4 kids. We secured a 3 bedroom house that was an original farm house and has so much character but needs so much work. The girls share 1 room and the boys share 1 room. No insulation, wood burn stove heated. No vapour barrier or plywood on the roof, two leaning additions and now a broken main beam to deal with. It is alot to deal with and we would appreciate any help you could give. Our oldest is 16 and youngest is 6 so we will need to look at getting a 3rd addition built to satisfy the needs of our growing children.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply for a chance to be a part of the experience. Much love!

Goodmorning, I am writing on behalf of my grandma. She is my bf and she recently turned 82. She has owned her home for 50yrs and it definitely is in distress. I recently relocated from tampa Florida back to the small town of delano California to take care of her in the remaining time of her life. She is a sick woman and requested to go home and spend whatever time she has left in her home. I have started the process to do some light clean up and paint on the inside but she really needs help in her home so that it can be safe for her to come home and enjoy the life she has. As much as it's her wish its mine. This is the home I was born in and I want to give her the joy and peace of being in a nice safe home. If anyone can help that would be amazing
We are a family of 6 and are overflowing our current home. My husband and I both work very hard to provide for our family and to ensure that our 4 children have everything that they all need. However, we do not have enough money left over to update our house or even make necessary repairs on it so that it can be adequate for our children. In the past year we have had everything from floods, mold, bedbugs, and plumbing problems to add to the issues that our little home already faces, and our insurance company does not cover the damages that each disaster causes. Therefore, we struggle to get by and do patch-jobs each time something comes up. At this time, our goal is not to just move because of this, but to just do a makeover. We want our children to grow up in a healthy, clean environment that is not so dated, and we struggle to just earn enough to cover all of our bills. Our idea of being the right candidate for the show is that we could make our home over and live better and be more productive as a family. If each of our children could have their own room and their own space, and we could work on starting over with the repairs, we could get that motivation back that is necessary to move forward and to get back where we once were instead of just drowning in debt trying to fix our 1950s house! Please give us that chance. We don't have a long saga to tell like some, and we are not sick, but we would like to get our home and our life back instead of sticking it all in this money pit!!
Hi Home make over my name is Sandra I live is Sophia NC and dealing with so many health problems, my home isn't as safe as it should be. I have diabetes, copd, neck back and leg issues, just to name a few. My bathroom is so bad it truly needs help and I cant afford to do it with only my husband working and my small disability check. We have a issue with black mold weak floors, poor water pressure through the house. The bathroom is so small when I have to use my walker I cant get it in there. our other bathroom is unusable due to the plumbing in there and even more black mold. The rest of our home could truly use a make over as well to make it safer for me to get around. I/we would be so extremely grateful for your help to making our home more livable and safe Praying that you will take us in consideration Thank you so very much
My name is Hayden I am applying for a wonderful women that took me in at the age of eight. She's been nothing but loving, caring, kind and hardworking. Her whole life she has worked to provide for her son and myself she never tends to her needs and desires. My whole life I have seen her struggle with paying the bills, putting food on the table, making sure I had school supplies and clothes. Never once did she ask for anyone's help she's always managed with side jobs or picking up extra hours. Sadly in 2005 she lost her mother to single -cell lung cancer leaving her with the option to let the bank take her moms house where her and her five siblings grew up or buy it. Being the woman she is she bought it knowing of all the problems that have just gotten worse due to lack of funds and time with the house. She is still currently paying for the house and has came close to loosing it in the past. Some of the problems with the home are the foundation is not only sinking into the ground but crumbling, the ceiling is falling in, and the house has terrible plumbing and piping in general along with the other issues. Yes the house is livable and we are thankful to have a roof over our heads but knowing how hard my mom works and still works and how much this home means to her she deserves this home makeover so she can come home to a nice home and not be stressed because she does not have the money to fix what she wishes she could.
I really need some guidance and help.
My mother has recently passed away of bone camcer her funeral was actually today so sad and my farther 5 years ago passed away of ALS. Our family home is in need of some makeover in order to sell it for top dollar but are in crunch mode as we need to get affairs in order and things so we may sell it we live in a suburb of Boston as the need to sell becomes great as there is still money owed on the home. This is a last ditched effort to find help for us so we may get top dollar and move to places where we can buy homes. Please help us. The construction is only about 18 years old no matinance in the last 8 years.
Thank you
Richard Roszak
My name is Michele Grima. I live in Oceanside NY. I’m not sure what to say here as I don’t want to seem ungrateful fir what I have- I know many have a lot less. I’m a single mom and 5 years ago my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I do the best I can to keep my home as clean as possible but at this time our backyard looks like a scene straight out of Jumanji and everything needs repairs. My youngest daughter doesn’t have a room. I’m praying Extreme makeover might be the miracle we need❤️
Hi, I am a mother of five children all under the age of eight. I live in a renters home that is full of mold and we live on a busy street so I'm constantly worried about my children's safety. My husband and I have gone through many rough patches in our marriage because of our living conditions.
The house we are in is a two bedroom one bath. One of the bedrooms are as small as a closet, that is the bedroom my husband and I share because my kids need a lot more space. I am very concerned for my family's health because of the basement. It is filled with spiders and mice and has standing water under the cement floor that has a foul smell. water seeps through the basement walls so there is mold everywhere. i feel like we will never be in a position to ever own our own house or have enough space for the five children we were blessed with.
Hi I grew up with my mom when my dad died in 1969. Mom died got married and my wife left me with three lovely daughters. I got married with a single mother of two children. I don't have enough space on my two bedroom house. I'm only working at age of 52 with medical treatment. I really need love and care. I love watching extreme makeover seeing people love for a human life. God bless you and family.
Asking for a friend, she reached out on Facebook 5 years ago, some help, but conditions are the same. Her words follow:
Dear Community, Family, Friends;
My family and I have quietly dealt with our situation for many, many years. For those of you who may not be aware, I am the oldest of four children. The other three are triplets, two boys and a girl, all three with Autism. They also have epilepsy, and my sister suffers from a rare kidney disorder, that caused kidney failure in the past. This is but the tip of the proverbial iceberg that my family has dealt with.
My parents for many years, tried to keep their struggles from me, but it became too much to hide, and provided some moral lessons along the way. I’ve have witnessed not only the total segregation of my siblings because they are different, but also the terrible treatment my parents have received. I have been treated with pity, and surrounded by whispers my entire life. I don’t often like talking about our struggles and pain, but after some of the things that have recently gone viral, things need to come to light.
I have bad news for you. You know that letter to the mother with the Autistic child, telling her to have him euthanized? This has happened many times over to my family, but has never once been publicized. In fact, once we had a local paper call us and send us a letter they received and refused to print, as it named all three of the triplets’ names and attacked them, urging the community to rise up and run my family out on a rail. It was never published, but the mentality has continued to exist.
My parents spent the first 17 years or so of the triplets’ life advocating for them. Fighting for the triplets to get the best life they possibly could. My father worked and barely paid our bills. My mother stayed at home and poured herself over research, Individualized Educational Plans, tools and aids to help the children learn and cope with the world beyond what the school district was willing or able. My family, sad to say, has always been well within the limits of the poverty lines. My parents fought hard to make sure we didn’t go without. We ate a specialized diet, Celiac to be specific. We had a roof over our head, family pets that brought us comfort and joy as children, toys and even computers. Never the top of the line, but enough to get done what needed to be done.
As I neared my college years, my mother began to do small side work; cleaning houses mostly. Eventually, as the market crashed, my father lost job after job. Soon they developed their own business of handy work. Both mom and dad worked as many hours as they could, while the triplets were at school. Work piled up, both at home and with clients. Bills weren’t getting paid, so work with clients became a priority, just to keep surviving, and keep the triplets comfortable.
This is the case to this day. My parents are in their fifties now, and working every day they can. My mother hasn’t had a day off in months, working every day, with torn ligaments and possibly broken bones because some clients refuse to let her have time off, and the bills are still waiting to be paid. My father works during the day and then comes home to get the triplets off the van from their day-hab program, as they are beyond the educational cut off age, and takes over making dinner and basic household chores that haven’t yet been accomplished by the one personal care attendant (or what ever the title is now) who steps in during the day.
As one may imagine, if you were to work from 7am until midnight everyday, and you have certain priorities due to your children’s health concerns, certain things may fall to the wayside or to the back burner. Sadly, that means that the curb appeal of the home, the yard and porch of the 100+ year old home is starting to want attention. There are people within the community, that have some sort of prejudice or agenda against my family, who have reported my parents to the local authorities. I mean they have called the town hall, the police, the fire marshal and even the department of social services. My parents have been contacted by the local authorities, and given warnings. Now the warnings have escalated to threats of demolishing the home and taking away the triplets.
My parents are hard working, honest people; Kind people, perhaps to a fault. They have nothing in savings, no chance to retire, and are merely trying to get by and provide for their family. That’s all they have ever done, and I dare anyone else to try to accomplish what they have done.
If there is anyone who can stand behind my family, most especially my parents, in this difficult time; I beg you, stand up. Share our story, stop by and give my parents a hug, if you can help with anything, please help. Whether it’s being willing to help should this go to court, to help them get junk to the junk yard, to help them with anything at all would be appreciated. Prayer, support, and love is what they need right now. Everything they’ve ever worked for is teetering on a razor edge. Please, please don’t let us become a forgotten story. Please don’t let us become some terrible statistic. Help.
Sincerely,
Your Neighbor, Friend, Niece, Sister
Stephanie

Growing up I wasn't the greatest kid got involved in a relationship with one of the towns thugs and the stress I put on my parents was unbelievable. We lived paycheck to paycheck often barely making it with our water and electricity being shut off sometimes would hardely have anything to eat for dinner. Anyhow thru all the struggles and stress and hardships my grandfather got sick and passed away from cancer my mother just about broke down and lost it . She quit her job leaving the entire financial burden on my father . She had a nervous breakdown as the house was in ruins such a sad and empty feeling in the house . I use to hear parents going at it about how the house is falling apart it's a mess wood rotting soft spots on roof house crumbling literally cuz of termites and with no money we can't afford to have it tented. We have several major cracks thru the house from the last big earthquake and openings and holes thru out entire house where at a time rodents decided to move in . With 10 hour wrk shifts my father struggled to complete the projects he started around the house and after so many years finally became burnt out and never finished. During this time I had my kids moved back home with them to escape my ex the father of my son. Let's just say I'm lucky to be alive today and don't know how I made it thru the hell. Early one morning I watched the news and learned that My sons father ends up killing his mother and current girlfriend in the beginning of the year Feb 19 2018 in covina hills . With the heartbreak of my son not having a father anymore he trys his hardest to help fix things up around here striving to make grandma happier and himself. Ive started to put up a retaining wall in back before our back hill gives way and the mud starts to break thru the rotted particle board type fence that dad threw up over 15 years ago. The other day i came home to find that my son who is only 7 yrs old put half the retaining wall up and to my surprise i doubel checked it and everything was leveled and correct. He wishes so bad that we could live in a put together home and maybe invite some of his friends over and not be embarrassed and wishes he could build a great big house so grandma can syart smiling again. Mom's getting older and after battling cancer herself she can't do the things she use to do around here. I wish so much that I was in a position to fix this house and hopefully bring back some of the happiness back into this house but I am unable been unemployed and struggle myself barely making it each month. Things in life are not always peachy and I've tried my hardest to keep the bad and ugly from my children . My wish one day is to maybe get this house back together and start living again .
My girlfriend in TN did not have a rosette in her life. It is from Bohemia, we are a small country in the heart of Europe. She came out of modest proportions, and not two marriages failed. She had her dream, to buy a house, to repair it, to sell and to buy something smaller and to live in peace with her granddaughters. But fate was not bent on her side again, and in a month she sold it to the auction house. Unfortunately, it was a disease and a bad backbone, and although she can help, she is no longer given to work to finish the house. Please help, so much luck is not possible for one person. I apologize for English, translated to google.
I am looking for help for my parents. Their house burned down on September 5, 2018. They are still paying the mortgage but the insurance isn't enough to pay for the rebuilding of the home. We are looking for help to rebuild their home. I don't know where to turn to for help. Please help.
Hi, I'm a mom and grandmother in Michigan. I live alone and have no family
here to help me. I have had 5 heart attacks, 4 strokes, 6 stents, a triple
bypass and a defibrillator.
I am on SSDI Disability and have lived in a 660 sq. ft. house for almost 25
years. I can't get through my house in a wheelchair. There's no garage,
critters are getting into the engine compartment of my car costing me
dearly to repair the chewed up wires, lines and hoses. My house is in a very
sad state. It has no AC, my doctors are concerned about heat stroke. It has
no first-floor laundry or anywhere to put one in and the basement has mold
and is infested with spiders which terrify me. The furnace is 44 years old
and inefficient. The windows are 1971 vintage non-energy-efficient
aluminum-frame (some are broken). The bedrooms are so small you have to
disassemble a bed to turn it around. There is not one room that two people
can both be in at the same time. Some of the wiring was aluminum wiring and
almost burned the house down. The "weatherproofed" deck rotted out.
I am in serious trouble here. It needs paint, has a leak in the roof, water
damage on ceilings from the roof leaking, holes in the siding, linoleum
floors are crumbling, carpeting is 45 years old. It is in need of many more
major and minor repairs that I am no longer able to do.I am 16 miles from
the nearest town. When the power goes out there's no hand pump on my well
for water and no generator to provide power, heat or water until the power
comes back on.
Please consider me for this help!

I'm a 41 y.o recently divorced mother of 2 boys.Divorced due to infidelity. It has been such a difficult time in me and your youngest son Kailib's life. He's 15 and told a friend was going to hang himself. He told the principal at his school and we had a conference and of course he denied he was serious.I know he wasn't because about a month earlier he'd asked me for a 10 foot rope. For some reason that thought was what immediately can to mind.I asked what did he need it for and he would never tell so course I would not buy it for him.He has become such a recluse since out separion and our divorce. He used to be so outgoing. He's the total opposite now.He went to high school last year and it was a school zoned for us but he was in a magnet school since kindergarten. He only knew 2 people in the school and by the end of the year he'd only made one friend during the year.He doesn't talk to anyone and is so unapproachable. He is over weight and I know that affects his self esteem as well.Could you please help me with my son, his self esteem, and our weight challenges.
I work full time as a RN and have my own business and I'm always so busy.I know what I have is such a blessing but I regret that I started it because it takes me away from my family so much when I know my boys need me more than ever.I can't afford to quit my part time job.My business is doing ok,but chaotic a lot of the time.I'm always overwhelmed and stressed. I am the one EVERYONE calls on ALL OF THE TIME for everything.I feel drained and defeated all of the time. I never have anyone to lean on.I dont enjoy life anymore. It would be great to have a home make over to help us with the new chapter in our lives. My home is depressing.I can't afford it.I'm begging for you help. We need a change to help us mentally and emotionally healing. I know nothing about decorating a home. My home is so sad. I hate walking in to it. You dont know how this would be a blessi g in my life and a dream come true.
We bought our first home in 2016 as a family. We lived there for a year and then Next we became Foster Parents. Legally im not allowed to tell much, especially on the internet. But we are about to adopt hopfully. This sweet baby has made our family hole. And its been a struggle for her, for us. But we just dont have enough room and would love to be able to have room for her. Never thought I would apply for this. Always knew I could do it on my own. But when you cant, you just cant. God has a plan for this little family of mine and we are hoping you can help.
God Bless.
Suicide is what happened in our family. My mother's father killed himself this past year, and we have been struggling. Our home of over 15 years hasn't been renovated since. I live with my step-dad who doesn't speak English, mother, and older sister. My mom is a nurse so she is always taking care of others. Please help me take care of my mom.

SHSIN strives to connect people with other programs in the area that will have a positive impact on a family's long-term "health." The organization serves residents living in the following areas of Alachua County and surrounding communities in Florida. Our organization serves 300 families each month. Families are eligible to obtain food through our pantry each week. The program is managed by one full-time staff that is supported by 12 volunteers.
I have been during this program for 11 years out of my home. An extreme makeover would provide space for me to travel in my wheel chair to different areas of my home and freezer space is needed for the amount of food and other items I receive to help families. This organization as accomplish many awards for the work we do in the communities.
Thank You

My spouses grandma just lost her house from the telegraph BC fire a few weeks ago, all her belongings and everything of hers and her husbands whom passed away a few years ago gone. All her husbands belongings and the memories they've made in that house all up in ashes now. It's so devastating because that is all she had left of him and I like it if we could get her house rebuilt. It doesn't even have to be big one floor house easier for her to get around. This would be a miracle for her it's so heartbreaking.
My step mom helped raise me and my younger brother while my dad was on the road. She took her own money and paid for groceries and school supplies when my dad did not make enough. She has been living in a trailer that has no running water. Because they an not afford to pay to have all the underground pipes replaced and their trailer needs new insulation. She also takes care of the 10 acre farm. They did at one time have 23 dogs that she would carry water to three times a day in the summer.twice a day in the winter. Now they have only 2 dogs left. She has to use a old time washer to do her clothes. She has bad arthritis through out her body. My dad has a bad back and has a rod in it so it makes it hard for either of them to do repairs on the property. My step mom is a specialised paralegal she does freelance work for lawyers to bring in extra money. But even with that work they still can't afford to replace the pipes. It would be great if you could help them.

They really need the room next to their bedroom made livable for Lizzie's Bedroom. (she still sleeps with them because with all the bills and can no longer do anything they had planned to do to improve their house. Lizzie's room needs new Sheet rock, paint, flooring/or carpet, and furniture. It would be awesome if you could help fixing their whole house up.
lizzie: warrior princess (on FB)
*** They fully intended to fix the house up, but then everything started happened one right after another and they have had to use all their extra money on Dr's, Medical Bills, Medications, etc. Not to mention, all the work they have had to miss. Lizzie has always slept with them (I think they were afraid to not have her with them). Now she is 3 and it is time for her own room but they have the walls in her bedroom striped of wall paper (along with the dinning room) and can't finish it along with everything else that needs to be done.***
Please, I ask with my whole heart, help them. Thank you for your time and consideration,
Hi my names Millicent from Columbus oh
Me and my 3 year old son were currently homeless after losing my big brother to blood cancer my world came crashing luckily my family owns a duplex that hasn't been lived in since my grandmother passed away in 2015 now it is somewhere to sleep for me and my son especially being a single parent and working not making enough to really afford a different living environment if you guys would be able to help make it somewhere kid friendly for my son and just a better living environment over all . Thank you guys
We bought a foreclosure in 2009. We spent all the money we had buying this house. We thought by now we would be able to repair some of these things, but it just never seems to work out where we can. My husband is now retired, and we are on a very limited income, and our home is falling apart. Our central unit is not that old, but we can't use it, it wont work, and we can't afford to have someone come and work on it. My daughter is 10. Winter worries me. We don't know how we are going to be able to even heat this house. It needs new windows, it's not insulated good and now our heating unit is messed up.
Applying for my in-laws but they don't know that I am. They own an old old farm house that my mother in law could never get any help to finish it. Along with it it has a good amount of acreage with lots of animals living in older barns. Most of the barns went downhill after my father in law's dad died. Since then, a few years ago my in-laws lost their business of 5 years. Not only are they struggling financially and desperate, but we now know my father in law has heart problems and my mother in law had a heart attack. Now within the last few weeks we found out she now has breast cancer, hoping that they can take it out. I'm asking this because these people would do anything for anybody and it hurts to see them suffer in such a series of terrible events. They need some help. If anything give them a life-changing barn that would make it so much easier on my father in law to do the things he loves so he doesn't have to struggle anymore with it, or give up his animals.
I am a mother of six kids. Four years ago I decided that it was time to buy a house the kids could call home so we didn't have to be moving all the time. I worked so hard to get it. After we bought the house , we haven't had anything but problems with it. First it started with water coming into the basement into the bedrooms. We had to waterproof the rooms in the basement and replace the sheetrock and carpet. Last fall we had a new roof put up. We now have water coming into the house. The sheetrock and wood in the house will need to be replaced. Had a different roofing company come look at the roof and they said it was all done wrong so now we need to get the roof done. I'm not even sure if the guy who did the job is insured. We didn't have much money so he did the roof for what my check was. I am working two jobs to make ends meet and I am struggling so much and I am not able to afford replacing it all. To top it off I need to waterproof the rest of my basement because of the non stop water leakage. We can't seem to catch a break, always something. So what I am asking for is myself and my family to be picked for the extreme home makeover.
I would like to recommend my Preacher and his wife for a makeover (new home) He was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor about two months ago and has been dealing with dizziness, vision problems and bad headaches among other things. We live in a small community and he is still preaching and visiting people that are homebound or sick etc. Last night while we were having our Sunday night service his house was struck by lightning and it was a total loss. He is a full time preacher and his wife works in the office at our public school so their finances are tight. Please consider them for a makeover.
My parents home was condemned when the basement wall foundation was caved in when they were in bed sleeping above it and when they call Erie insurance they told them the house was to old to do anything to help them please help my parents thank you
We just want to be able to take a shower in our own home. I'm a single parent raising my son in a home with no upstairs plumbing for about 12 years. Then one weekend our furnace broke, the pipes froze and burst abound I came home to abound flooding house. I had no homeownersnurance so it took me about 3 years to get enough money to fix just the downstairs plumbing. We showered at the YMCA or other family members homes. It was inconvenient the to go back and forth daily so we lived with grandma for several years. My roof has abut 3 inches of moss growing on it and when it's raining outside, it rains inside too. The caulking on the windows is disintegrating, the sewer in the basement gets backed up, and my house smells like basement and mold. I have asthma and other health issues. That can't be good for my lungs or that of my son who is now 18 years old. We use to walk around in the home improvement stores looking at the new bathrooms and showers and just fatasize about having a working bathroom at home. He hasnt bathed in this house since he was 5 years old. My house is crumbling before my eyes and I can't fix anything. I don't know what else to do.
Hello Ty Pennington Can you Build me a appement behind the man cave please? I what the second Bathroom be Orange and Blue. My Mom a wants a smaller bed in her Bedroom. Put my Desk in my New Bedroom please?

I would love my house to be update and a bug free zone
Hello, Hope all is well, My name is LaToya. I really don't want to ask for help. I have been blessed this far , But thought I would take another chance at reaching out again . So I'm thinking this comment section is to give a brief discretion or glimpse of my life : ) I am 36 today birthday is a week of today away. I have 8 children. Yes 8. 5 that I birthed and 3 that I did not. I received full custody of through the courts in 2011. Well just thinking I was going to help out a friend(the parent) for 90days. Turned in to almost 8 years. Who knew? I have battled with people for housing and help for a long time. Dropped out college. Had to stop working. I love all my babies. I have a Sophomore in college as well. He is apart of the 8. The oldest. Due to my large family its hard and no one wants to allow people who are not the average sized family into pretty much anything . Thanking God daily. We have moved a few times. Some cases were because my family size was to full. Meaning the capacity or the occupants were not allowed. So many kids and people in the same house and bedroom size. They say its hazardous. I get it. So okay… What can I do. Continued to live and find places for us to go. I took on a home thinking it was a get fit. Lease purchase , land contract or so. Now the home is in foreclosure. Not pre-foreclosure , but foreclosure. In the midst all these years , I built a non for profit for domestic violence survivors' as myself for the deaf and hearing world. I am divorced , going through raising all my children. Not able to work as much due to 3 of my children are special needs. So living in the foreclosure property which we are now. They a/c went several times. I was so upset due to my 3 year old having sickle cell. Outside of the 3 special needs. Thinking like something has to be done. Someone came to work on it. And put me in contact with an investor. (because of the foreclosure issues) Who also is a survivor of domestic violence . Who knew??Well she is wanting to me be apart of her program. The bridge program. Which I am very much grateful for. And so thankful. It was a house purchased . And I have the option to move in and it become my kids and mine. I said yes. But it needs work. I don't have the money to do all of the work. I have until January 2019 to move in it, if not sooner according to the court dates about the foreclosure. I really don't know how the process works. I'm just the tenant not the owner. So information doesn't get to me as it should. So I said if this is a possibility why not. You never know. Hopefully it wasn't to long or dreading. I tried to get straight to it. I really appreciated someone taking the times out to read this, well read my story. Blessing to you. Again sorry if this to long.

I have a friend / neighbor who is an elderly disabled women. She has a 2 bedroom trailer accompanied by 20 birds!!! Her roof is terrible. Her deck is just as terrible. Me and my fiance is doing everything we can to help her. She needs so much help.
I would like to nominate my parents home. It's such an old house and everything is falling apart. I just now came back to the house in 3 years and it's in really bad shape. There's so much mold, ceilings falling apart, floor is splitting. My parents deserve a nice cozy home. My dad is the only income and is a very hard working man. Everyone loves him. My mom is a stay at home mom and does everything around the house. But there's not much she can do with being afraid if the house will fall apart or collapse one day.
Hey my father and grandma left my two children and me a home it's not liveable the floors are rotten and the kitchen sinking in the roof is leaking. It's holds in the wall from big wood rats so I decided to move out. Am a single mother we live in hotels sometimes when I have enough or the car. And I also have friends that lets us stay with them sometimes. I really been having hard times since my father been gone was in a abuse relationship my children and me escape about 8 to 9 months ago. I just want to be able to give my children their own rooms and a place to call home.
I always tuned in to every episode of extreme home makeover! Whar a wonderful and inspiring show that truly made a difference for struggling families!
After the show ended, I oftentimes regretted not nominating my sister and her husband who are both disabled. Is it destiny that I have another chance?
Hi there, I'm writing about my parents. My mom became a mother at a young age. She currently has five of us and I'm the baby. Playing the role of a mother wasn't easy for her, she did not just play a mother role, but a father one too. My oldest brothers dad was never around growing up and mine and my three other brothers dad was selfish and abusive to my mother. She stayed with him for about 17 years regardless of the fact that she was getting abused by him just because he was our dad and couldn't trust anyone around us. She finally left him once we told her to and grew the courage. My dad made her think that no one would want her knowing she has 5 kids. A year later she met my step dad and he took us in broken and broke. He played the dad role and didn't have any kids so took us as him own. He moved us into a beautiful 2 story but since he had left the house into the hands of his sister for a while she made him go bankrupt. She didn't pay the bills and didn't care for it. It of course affected my step dad financially. Regardless of the situation my step dad and mom still made ends meet even with their financial struggles. They both deserve a blessed house of their own because of all the sacrifices they made for us. They currently live in an unfinished home and Lord knows they deserve better. Thank you guys for reading my story and I hope to hear from you. Thank you Jesus.
My request is very different then the ones all listed above. My mom is in a nursing home on a dementia/alzheimers unit. Even though my mother is in a wheelchair and not responsive, I watch the others wander all day up and down the halls with nothing to excite them.It is my dream to transform this unit into something stimulating for the residents that live there. I would love to see the unit bright and exciting for them. Maybe add a play room and a music room where they could sit and listen to music. Easels added so they could paint with watercolors or water tables for them to splash their hands in. These patients live in that very moment, and why shouldn't it be an exciting moment for them. Right now the home is very institutional. The dementia patients are locked into their floor and there is not enough aids to take a few outside. I am one person and I do what I can, as I have adopted many of these residents as my family. Please help me change this unit and maybe we can get other nursing homes to follow suit. All of these lovely people deserve it. Think of the difference we can make in their last days
My name is Brittany Bullard. 25 years old. I currently live with my mom, her boyfriend, and my little brother in a 1 bedroom apartment. I am not sure if my situation would be accepted for your show but I am in need of a home of my own. As long as it has room for me, my 6 year old son, as well as my 2 year old daughter. Currently, they are staying with a family member so I can focus on getting my life back together after my 8 year relationship with their father just ended and I have lost everything. I am trying very hard to make this happen asap so I can be reunited with my babies!
We need some help with our house can you please if you can help us
Hi my name is Lillian,
I am in need of an extreme home makeover. I was involved in a car accident and became disabled in 2007. I lost my home to foreclosure and became homeless in 2013.
In 2011, my mother lost her battle with breast cancer and I inherited her home. However, the house is in need of major renovations.
Someone had broken into the home and stole most of the copper pipes and radiators. More recently, a tornado ripped off the roof and a family of raccoons have made a home in the attic.
The heavy rainstorms are causing the interior ceilings to collapse and I don't know what to do.
The winter season is almost here and I'm running out of ttime. When I receive the home makeover, I could not only provide housing for myself but also for someone else in need of shelter.
Please consider my request for a extreme home makeover.
Sincerely,
Lillian
hello my name is Susan Allan I am writing to you today to talk to you about the need we have for a home we have lived in our current house for 20 years but it has become dilapidated and falling apart our landlords have asked us to move out but the problem is we were told we could live here till we died we got custody of our grandchildren about 4 years ago and now we've been asked to leave our house of 20 I've been on disability because I had a heart attack at 17 and my husband works but he only works seasonal we don't get any support from the parents of my grandchildren at all we've been struggling for the last 4 years and would appreciate just a chance to have a fair start in the safe place for our children and grandchildren to grow up thank you for your time and consideration God bless
My father under 60 just got diagnosed with Als, he has 3 daughters and an amazing wife. Surrounded by 9 grandkids, he is the hardest working man I've ever seen in my life, will do anything at the drop of a hat for anyone. He has always been my hero. He loves fishing and being with my mom and shortly, he wont be able to do any of that, it breaks my heart completely. Hes a amazing person, amazing worker, he is always positive and helps out always. He will soon be completely paralyzed, my 6'5 280 dad is not going to get around their home. My mother doesn't want to leave her house, he doesnt either, but soon enough it is going to be a lot of stress and hard work and they need new Van's and machine to transport him and to get him around their house. Their house needs a remodel so much, breaks my heart for my mom to worry…begging to help.
MY NAME IS AMY JONES, I AM DISABLE AND MY HOME NEEDS A MAKEOVER WELL ACTUALLY REPAIRS I CAN NOT AFFORD NOR GET GRANTS FOR. I AM TRYING TO FILL OUT APPLICATION AND CAN NOT FIND IT. PLEASE SOMEONE CONTACT ME THISIS MY LAST HOPE OF GETTING HELP.
Hello Good afternoon, I am from Los Angeles, CA. I have been a fan of ABC's extreme makeover since I was 7 years old or younger. The reason why I am commenting is because of my grandmother's home. January 10, 2018 my grandfather passed away. He was incharge of the repairs and everything else that come with the house. My grandmother is sickly. I live with her and take care of her. She has breast cancer and we are hoping that soon she will be cured. Her house isn't what it used to be. From her walls, to her floors… I feel like everything is falling apart. I would love for Extreme Makeover to come and bless my family , especially my Grandmother with a home makeover. I know it will lift her spirits and she will be more than grateful for this opportunity. Thank you so much, I hope to you all soon. God bless.
Nice post. I learn something new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon every day. It will always be interesting to read content from other authors and use something from other websites.

Hey I have a friend who has a messed up house that is falling apart he really needs some help can you help him?
Hi I'm from South Africa love what you and your team are doing giving it forward every one needs love and hope and my aunt is just doing it taking in children that have no homes and working for the community she puts herself last everyone comes before her own needs. She stay with her family in a one bedroom house and still do work for the community on the age of 62. In god we trust and keep on spreading love and hope
I would like some information on how to sign someone up for a home maker over that really deserves it. My daughter is a Mother of 3 and has worked since she was 17 years old to give her children everything they want. She tries so hard to keep up with her work and home for them. She is an amazing girl. She recently lost her dad who always helped her when she needed him. he left us on May 8 2018. It has been the hardest three months on her. she is on of the most caring and loving people you would ever want to meet.
I'm here asking for a family of 4 single mom with 3 kids a home makeover. They have never had much and the day after Christmas her husband up and left with so many repairs to the house that need to be done. Floors are rotting out and falling through. She's unable to work due to medical issues and there is so little help in her small town. This would be such a blessing to her and her kids. Her oldest has austim and her middle child had to have brain surgery at a young age. It's been difficult for her these past few months not knowing if she will be able to pay the bills. The home is literally falling apart all the floors are uneven bathrooms are becoming unusable. This would be a blessing to this family only source of income is social security disability.
My husband and I would like a home make over. We have purchased 2 homes side by side and land out back. We had purchased a third house to remodel to make a little money on but ended up giving it to a friend who got messed over on a house she thought she was buying. So between trying to work full time jobs, work on house we have friend, raise a disabled son, be our counties emergency shelter coordinator and also volunteering with the red cross as well as other charities and one of which we put on in memory of our grandbabies who passed away in a house fire. All proceeds goes to.our local fire department. We also have the land a block away from where we live where the babies passed away. We have built a gazebo trying to make a memorial lot there. But just not enough of the 2 of us to go around. Thank U
I hope this works cuz I can't figure out how to apply or audition should I say. I wish I could have all the money in the world to repair remodel and fix my mom's house for her. But I can't I don't have it. My mother has given us kids everything she could. She worked up until the day she became completely physically disabled. She worked for this home this was her dream home per se. She loves angels and when she purchased this home the trees behind it when they connected it Formed an angel right then and there we knew it was the home she was meant to buy. They had a ramp walkway up to the house and then I ramp into the house. When she purchased it we did not know that she would become disabled so purchasing this home was a blessing in disguise. We believe God gave her this house. Over the years my father tried to do repairs and remodels here in there to no avail. It seemed like when things were just getting right it would just get 10 times worse. My father died in August leaving my mother with a lot of debt including the mortgage of the home. My mother doesn't make enough in Social Security to pay the mortgage and the bills. My sister lives with her and is taking care of her and is taking the money that she gets paid and putting it into the mortgage. My sister is not just caring for my mother but is also raising our great-niece. My sister was not blessed with children but one of my oldest nieces could not take care of the child so she gave her to my sister. My sister and her husband are doting parents to that child you would never know that it's not their biological child. If we could get this house remodeled for my mother and my sister that would be the best thing that ever happened to my family and our entire lives. Although I don't physically live with my mother and my sister I live just down the street and I'm there almost everyday to help. I took care of my mom for the first four and a half years of her disability I wanted to go back to work and use my degrees so my sister moved home from Arkansas to take over when she didn't have to. If there's a way but God could less us to either have the money to remodel the house and pay off mortgage or anything that can help my prayers will be answered.

I work hard working for the Nebraska department of corrections but between struggling with the bills and all the debt i have for the last 5 years of hospital bills , i am afraid the two of us ,and our 3 boys are going to lose our apartment. What I wouldnt give to not have to worry everyday whats going to happen next thats going to force us to live out of our only vehicle. We are in desperate need of help. I would love to get help but what id love more. I would love for my fiance to not have to worry about everyone else and finances and just enjoy what little time she has left.
HI I would like to apply for a extreme home makeover for my mother. She's been a single mother of four for as long as I can remember. She's always worked 2 jobs a sacrificed whatever so we had what we needed. My father was abusive and she found a house and worked hard for it.She finally got it played off and she's lived it for 24 years. But Its settling and in bad shape I'm honestly it's gonna collapse any day? There was a fire at one point and storms that made tree limbs tear up the roof. It's in serious need of help. She's always been there for me at my low points, she took in my kids when I was at a bad time.I can only do so much.My mother recently lost 2 of her sisters and she had open heart surgery. She's a strong woman and she has to much pride to ask for help. But I worry about her safety when there's an inch gap between the top of the wall and the ceiling, or it looks like the floor is a sloped. She says she can't afford to move now that it's paid off. Please consider saving my mom's sinking mess for an extreme home makeover,
Our home is completely out of date. Our electric is still the old tube fuses and wire. Our windows are wide frames and out basement floors. I work 80 hours a week. My wife works also. But we just dont seem to ever have the money to fix our house because of vehicles breaking down dog getting really sick and my health. It would be a blessing to have this done to our home.
I just found out that my fiance for 5 years has been diagnosed with 9-12 months to live because of a tumor that is on our thyroid. She cant work but wishes too try and help me with bills but I am so far in debt with hospital we have a total of 3 kids that live with us we have 5 children between the two of us. We live in constant fear of losing our 3 bedroom apartment. I work 40 hours a week paid bi weekly and 30-40 hours overtime between the two weeks. I cant get out of debt up till this last year i couldn't afford health insurance i went from a 650 credit score to less than a 400 due to hospital bills and college debt that i was never able to complete. All I want is for my family and my fiance to live what time she has left in happiness and not the fear of where are we going to live if we get evicted whats going to happen to the kids and is she going to live her last year on the streets fearing our debts and whats going to happen to the children once she's gone.
Our family have suffered many deaths since 2010. Our first blow of death to our sibling family was in 1986, our brother Jimmy died December 16th, 1986 along with four of his co-workers after the car drove off a road with no signs to warn that the road ended with a raveen at the end. The 2 in the front of the car died from the impact, our brother and the other passenger in back died from the fire. We were once 3 brothers and 2 sister's, I am the oldest, Jimmy was the second oldest. We became closer after that tragedy and I don't think we truly got over the loss of our brother Jimmy. He would have turned 21 on December 29th that year, he just got married to his long time girlfriend who was 5 months pregnant when he died. Many years later our family was struck with the tragedy of losses again. Our brother Danny died age 44 in May 2010, he left behind 5 children, 4 of them were between the ages of 9 and 15, his oldest son was around 20 then. Then in November of 2010 we found out our Mother was diagnosed with rare brain cancer, our Mother died in January 2012 age 74, the doctor's gave her 12 to 15 months to live. Then August 2016 our Mom's youngest sister, our Aunt Chris died after surviving 2 types of cancer, one was brain cancer and the radiation treatments she received caused the arteries to harden in her brain and it was horrible to watch her wither away each time we saw her. Then our Dad died January 2016 in his bathroom from heart attack and was found next morning after I talked to him the night before, my last words were, "I love you Dad, I will talk to you tomorrow" He would have turned 79 on January 24th, he died January 12th. Then my sister Deanna's 26 yr old son, Johnboy, died May 2016 from overdose of heroine. I was there as her coach the day my nephew and Godson was born, it was a beautiful moment in my life, it was one of the saddest when I had to call her to tell her that her son, my nephew and Godson had died. Then our Mom's oldest and last living sibling, Aunt Fran, died 2 weeks after she found out she had an aggressive cancer on September 1st, 2017. I had went to Derby, NY to visit her in the beginning of August when I had to go home to have surgery, I stayed with her a couple days and she helped me. Two weeks later she called me to tell me she had cancer and my heart sunk, she was 77yrs old and did not look a day over 65! My sister and her husband and young daughter had a little Memorial on their own for the one year anniversary of her son Johnboy's death, on June 1, 2018, my sister Deanna's husband died in his car in front of his 10yr old daughter McCayla and our 23yr old nephew whose name is Daniel, who is the son of our brother Daniel, who died in May 2010. My sister's husbands name was Richard. Richard was driving to pick up my sister from work, and a mile away from the house he told my nephew Daniel he could not see and everything was blurry and that he would have to drive. Daniel managed to steer the car into a parking lot, Richard put the car in park, and by the time Daniel got our of the car and went to the drivers door to switch places with his Uncle, Richard had died, in front of his daughter McCayla who was in the back seat. I flew down to Spring Hill, Fl on the 3rd of June to help drive my sister Deanna and family to Buffalo, NY where her husband Richards family lives and wanted the funeral and then brought her back home with me after a week in Buffalo, NY to where I live in Sterling Heights, MI to spend time with me so she could grieve and not be alone. During her stay she decided she wanted to move near me and fulfill a wish of her husband Richard, who also wanted to move near me before he passed. They had visited me in September 2017 when the hurricane hit Florida that year and evacuated as advised. The urgency is that my sister Deanna doesn't have any family in Florida, and though both of our children live in the area of Buffalo, NY, she wants to move near me in Michigan, and we have found a house for her right down the street from me. The condition is the sale of her house in Florida, which she owns outright, no mortgage, to put towards the purchase of the house in Michigan. My husband and I are putting the mortgage in our names and all 3 of us will go on deed until she gets on her feet to refinance in her name alone. Her current home needs some work in order to sell, and I am working with her as much as I can. I am disabled, 2 neck surgeries and 4 back surgeries, long story. She is the one I am worried about, and she needs help now, and I pray you can help us Ty. My sister and I have been through so much in so many ways. She is my best friend, my baby sister still, and I want to help her during her time in grief. Please consider contacting me, Thank you.
Would love to get more information about casting application. Stage 4 cancer survivor. We lost our home and much more because of the expenses. We finally saved enough to buy a fixer upper, but need help with renovations, etc to make it more livable.
I have a school mate, who has Parkinson's disease. She can't work. Her husband pushes shopping carts to my end's meet and their daughter is mentally challenged and she works part time at a supermarket. She doesn't have the mental capacity to work a normal job. My friend lives in New York, where its very expensive. She needs a walker to get around and thehouse is a small cape cod. The carpet is so old and frayed down to almost nothing and no updates for 30-ish years. I would like to see if you can help them. They don't have money to survive.
Would love a new home in married with 4 kids, my husband went back to work don't have a vehicle we live in a 2 bedroom house with one bathroom 2 kids are in college we struggle everyday just trying to make ends meet, wishing we could get help with a new home that would fit everyone.
I am writing on behalf of my husband.. Eric married me knowing I could possibly get sick again and our time might be short but loved and loves me so much that even though I resisted at first (due to the pain I wanted to spare him) we married. I have become ill again and went from a 2 income household to a one income household. He is such an amazing father to our grandchild, who lost her father who was a wounded warrior, and my own daughter we lost to the heroin epidemic.. His dream to finish college when he even had a presidential scholarship because of his work ethic was cut short when he dropped out to care for his dying mother.
Eric worked hard when our income was cut in half and my medical bills and care was thru the roof. He fixed our credit and bought this tiny home. He is a beautiful musician and should have been a model..was about to be signed and gave it all up for love and duty..plz , I hope someone reads this..
Hi! I am asking for help for my daughter, Leann Rae Mallow and her husband Scott Richard Mallow. They live in a 3 bedroom home on 4 mile rd. in Traverse City, Mi. Scott is doing everything He can to take care of His family. Because He can't do it all by Hisself, His wife Leann works full-time also. Leann is my daughter. She was born with Cystic Fibrosis, is 37 years old, and has 2 normal healthy boys. She is very fortunate. It is extremely hard on Her. She is sick more than the average normal person is. We pray that She lives long enough to see Her 2 children graduate from high school. There is work that needs to dfone on there home and yard. I am handicapped also, so I am not able to do any work to help them. Please, Ty Pennington, can you help my daughter's family with an extreme home makeover. Thank you so much, Lorrie L. Skinner.
